Keith Gray

images……………..to meet Mr Clark’s S4 class on Tuesday 5 March at Elgin Academy

Keith will be meeting and working with S4 students during period 2 on Tuesday 5 March. Mrs Toonen talked to the S4 class in the Library about Keith’s books, particularly Ostrich Boys, Malarkey and The Fearful.

Remember, all of Keith’s books can be borrowed from the library.

Don’t forget to bring money on the day as there will be books for sale and Keith will sign your books for you.

We are very fortunate in being able to meet Keith Gray as he is an extremely popular guy!  He will enthrall you with tales of his writing, his inspiration and the qualities needed to be able to write.  Keith’s talk will be followed by a question and answer session.

In his earliest years, Grimsby-born Keith Gray turned from reluctant reader to passionate reader – then straight on to being a dedicated writer.

He published Creepers, which was shortlisted for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, when he was only 24 and since then has penned a number of critically-acclaimed novels which have won, or been shortlisted for, awards all over the world.

This mighty list of accolades includes the Carnegie Medal, the Costa Children’s Book Award, the Scottish Book Trust Awards and the Smarties Book Prize.
