Glasgow Women’s Library Workshop with Equal Everyday Sexism Group 12 December 2019

We had a very, very busy day on Thursday 12 December and especially enjoyed welcoming our visitors: Nadine & Becca from The Glasgow Women’s Library, who delivered a workshop with our S6 Equal Everyday Sexism group.  S5 pupils were invited too #passingonthebaton.

Nadine & Becca began by sharing what they do and then our group shared WHY they want to educate, enlighten & change attitudes, stigma and thinking about sexism in our school community.

We loved the bokos they brought to share with the pupils.

Creative activism: making spine poetry in the library with Nadine and Becca after mind- mapping ideas for a campaign: gender equality & social media. Our Everyday Sexism group is learning lots!

What a fabulous spine poem from Jolie.

Resist. The Legacy. Blame. Secrets. Catching Fire. Generation Next. Am I Normal Yet?

All in the fabulous spine poems created by Daisy, Morven, Oliver & Eilidh in the Everyday Sexism group during this workshop.

Huge thanks to Becca & Nadine for a wonderful workshop. They left in the afternoon for Glasgow to vote! Our Everyday Sexism group voted the day as hugely productive.

Mr Scott, our Head Teacher joined the workshop and we are all super proud of our #teamEA pupils #changingthestory
