Paper Towns Event

Paper Capers 17 June 2015

Paper Towns is the bestselling book by John Green, which the Novelties Book Group has been reading and discussing during June. The group, with Mrs Toonen, held a special event in the Library on 17 June, based on both the book and the forthcoming film, which is to be released next month.

Paper Towns is a coming-of-age story about Quentin and his neighbour Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one. Our event included very popular paper workshops, led by Sister Nicholas-Marie, from Greyfriars Convent. We also had lots of pupils participating in the treasure trail and quizzes.

Our cupcakes and gingerbread houses sold in record time and a big cake was sliced and handed round to all who were in the Library. The soundtrack from the film was played and the official trailer ran throughout the event.

Our beautiful Paper Towns Cake was raffled at the end of the event and was won by Connor Muir in S2. A huge well done to The Novelties Book Group, whose members were magnificent and who worked extremely hard to make sure the event was so successful.
