Primary Schools Visit EA – Nov 17

P7 Visits November 2017 Transition Fun!

During November, we welcomed P7 pupils from our five primary schools: Bishopmill, East End, Seafield, St Sylvester’s and West End schools.

Fabulous first of our P7 visits was with Seafield Primary and what huge enthusiasm! They tried no breathing, along with poet Michael Rosen in our poetry fun. Thankfully, not for long. Big 😁for our books & beanbags.

“Miss! Can I go out and do some breathing?” from No Breathing in Class by Michael Rosen was a big hit with West End P7s on Friday 24 November. There was lots of poetry fun and time to explore the library, as well as enjoy the books too. Good times at the end of our week.

Meet the neighbours: Bishopmill P7 enjoyed the poetry and the books on Monday 27 November. We enjoyed lots of good chat and they will be talking about books to films in their second visit next year👍. Great transition fun. Alistair wants to learn Russian and enjoyed our dictionaries and… Dominic has written a book! Called ‘Britain’s Youngest Politician’ which is about to be sent to publishers. WOW! Bishopmill Primary School has talent!

There was wonderful enthusiasm for books, poetry & detecting from St Sylvester’s pupils on Wednesday 29 November .Ellie found a maths test in one of our books…novel bookmark? Angel is a big fan of graphic novels & his favourite is Deadpool . All said they had an “awesome time”. That’s what we like to hear.
