S3 Scottish Teen Book Prize

Moray Wellbeing Hub visit

Wednesday 25 January 2017

Moray Wellbeing Hub aims to improve wellbeing in Moray. To challenge stigma, whilst supporting recovery and self-management.

We welcomed Heidi Tweedie to the library on Wednesday 25 January, to talk to our S3 Scottish Teenage Book Prize pupils. One of the books on the shortlist, Black Cairn Point, has, as one of its themes, mental health.

Heidi talked about the character Heather and her story. She went on to develop ideas around stigma, self-empowerment and positive mental health and to discuss these with the pupils.

This was a useful and helpful session for all involved in the session and we are very grateful to Heidi for her time with us.
