Sell Scottish Writers Panel

Sell Scottish Writers Panel for Book Week Scotland

Mr Clark got our Scottish Writers panel  on Tuesday 29 November off to a flying start. He painted a memorable picture of life in the streets, schools & tenements of Glasgow in the 1950s and 60s. … A Glasgow Trilogy by George Friel .

Mr Meisner entertained us all with his favourite Scottish book during our lunchtime panel. A Whisky in Monsterville by Tom Morton. It is funny and full of poems and songs… and is the world’s first interactive whisky thriller…or @irnbru as a substitute !

Our two S6 students, Julia & Martin, absolutely sold us their favourite Scottish writers, during our Scottish Writers panel today. Short stories by Anne Donovan and the thrilling classic The Thirty-Nine Steps by John Buchan.

There was a very appreciative audience for our Sell Scottish Writers Panel and what a lovely lunchtime event for Book Wee kScotland. The panel all enjoyed Tunnocks tea cakes & there will be a prize for winner of the most votes Mr Meisner.
