Theresa Breslin Visit on the 21st of March 2018

Theresa Breslin Carnegie Medal-Winning and Acclaimed Author  – Visit to school on Wednesday 21 March

We enjoyed two tremendous sessions on Wednesday 21 March when author Theresa Breslin visited school and met all of our S3 cohort in two sessions.

Theresa Breslin is the critically acclaimed award-winning author of over forty books across a range of genres and ages. Her work has appeared on television, radio and stage, and is read world-wide in many languages. Theresa Breslin’s new novel The Rasputin Dagger is available to borrow from the library, as well as many of her other titles.

Theresa’s talks to the S3 pupils included her foreign language book covers, lots of information on Rasputin & The Romanovs and readings from several of her books, as well as tips about research & writing.

The icing on the cake of a morning?

Our visiting author Theresa Breslin stayed for lunch and joined in with Novelties Book Club’s meeting. All were so chuffed!  There was lots of chat about books, writing, short stories and the pupils’ choices and competition entries for The Grampian Book Award. Brilliant!

Thanks to Theresa & Scottish Book Trust for Live Literature Funding and for a fabulous day 📚💜.
