Drop Everything & Read

We Dropped Everything to Read for 15 minutes and books, ebooks and magazines were picked up for a reading hush in school. This annual event is one of the ways in which we are all encouraged to make reading a regular part of our routines and to see that it as a valuable, lifelong habit that everyone should enjoy, every day.

What’s more fun(damental) than reading, really?

Book Wars

The exciting Book Wars event at lunchtime, saw pupils and staff visit the Pop-up Café in the library, to enjoy Books & Buns.

The entertainment in this unique café was provided by senior pupils and staff, as they talked about a much-loved book for two minutes to the audience, who then voted for their favourite speaker. Many thanks to our panel of Alex McLaren and Thomas Meikle, both in S6 and to staff Mrs Main, Mrs Roy, Mr Mr McWhirter and Mr Tsotsi, for sharing their favourite books.
